PTC Sites: Are They Worth Getting Into?

Taking a Good Look at PTC (Pay to Click) Sites

Today, many people who want to get an online business going are starting out with PTCs — Pay to Click websites. I, myself, began in that manner. I will explain what a PTC website is for those who are not aware what it is. A PTC web site is a site where you are paid pennies for clicking on and watching an ad for an allocated amount of time (usually 30 seconds). Each time you watch an entire advertisement (they usually last more or less 30 seconds), a tiny amount of cash is deposited into your account, which can only be taken out once you’ve collected a defined total, often in the $5 range. Likewise, almost all of these websites have a bit more to them, like special options available only to members, and referral rewards.

Whether you gain your referrals yourself or purchase them, when those referrals view adverts, you make more or less half of the money they make. Put another way, if you are paid a penny for clicking an advert, you’ll as well get one half of a penny each time each one of the people who signed up under you does the same. It may not look that lucrative, but visualize if you had thousands of referrals working for you. Sometimes you’ll be provided extra options that let you and your referrals to watch more ads, generate more cash per click and obtain more referrals. An enhanced membership usually comes in at a high cost but in the long run, you would generate more money with it.

For example, let’s assume you sign up for a Pay-to-Click program that has 4 ads. You then find 1,000 people to sign up under you as referrals. You earn $0.01 for each click, as do your referrals. That’s 40 bucks, if you and all your referrals view all four advertisements. Appears pretty great, correct? That would be a decent amount to generate per day, doesn’t it?

But, the sad truth is, virtually all Pay-to-Click programs are scams. BasicallyActually, they are simply pyramid schemes. A pyramid scheme is where individuals put in money expecting more in return after some time, but the guy in charge just pays out more cash to a few of the members and the other people are left with nothing, or very little. Look at it this way: If ten different people throw in $10, that’s a total of $100. The owner might give back $15 to 4 people and keep the remainder himself, leaving nearly all of the people unpaid. How is this possible? Easy. Initially, they convince you into joining ass a member and buying a few referrals (often bots, not even humans). They then pay us with money that other members have paid in for their memberships and referrals. The cash from advertisements does not cover their payouts, especially since a number of the referrals you can buy are not humans. Before long, folks stop signing up, and the later members are hung out to dry. If you are among the ones at the top, in from the beginning, there’s a good chance of generating a little money, but it is not balanced by the risks.

I suggest you avoid Pay-to-Click websites. The only way you will be able to generate even a tiny sum of money is to be the head scammer or one of his buddies. Everyone else who sign up loses. I not  keen about  the  odds .  .  . or  the karma.
